Kickoff Ministry’s World section searches for meaningful stories, ideas, achievements, businesses, entrepreneurs, organizations, and developments from around the world that we believe are worth sharing with our readers. Our goal is to provide thoughtful and positive reading that encourages people to expand their minds, continue learning, think critically, and approach each day with purpose.

As children of God, we believe we should continue growing in knowledge, character, creativity, and understanding while using our abilities to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Through the articles and stories featured here, we hope to introduce readers to people and ideas that inspire innovation, perseverance, leadership, service, and productive change.

Will every reader become the next Thomas Edison? Probably not — but you never know. Readers make leaders. Our hope is simply that good reading can spark a new idea, encourage a better attitude, inspire someone to pursue a goal, or help a person bring greater purpose and productivity into the workplace and everyday life.

Read something good. Learn something new. Make today productive. God Bless You!

Roy’s Words

Roy’s Words presents the words of Roy Andrade as spoken on camera during the filming of Kickoff Ministry’s Holy Bible video series. These writings are taken directly from his introductions and teachings, beginning with Genesis and continuing through his journey toward Revelation. The material is presented for educational and spiritual purposes, giving readers an opportunity to reflect on his ideas, biblical study, and personal insights while being encouraged to pray, worship God, believe in Jesus Christ, and seek greater meaning and purpose in life.

CHAPTER 6: Page 2

The word canon comes from a term meaning rule, measure, or standard. Over centuries, religious communities debated, examined, and recognized which writings they believe carried divine authority and spiritual authenticity.

Some books were universally accepted early on, while others became subjects of discussion and theological examination. Prophets, apostles, historians, poets, and inspired authors first penned these writings while councils, rabbis, biblical scholars, patriarchs, monks, bishops, scribes, theologians, and early church leaders played vital roles in preserving, examining, and identifying which writings would eventually be recognized as sacred scripture.

The earliest writings that became part of the Holy Bible likely began between fourteen hundred BCE and twelve hundred BCE during the time traditionally associated with Moses. Moses is historically connected to the first five books of the Bible, known as the Torah or Pentateuch, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

These writings became foundational to Jewish religious identity and later profoundly shaped Christianity itself. For centuries, Jewish and Christian believers have traditionally held that Moses wrote these books under divine inspiration.

Within both traditions, Moses is revered as the great lawgiver, prophet, and covenant leader through whom God delivered his commandments to Israel. Because of this long standing tradition, the first five books of the Bible are commonly known as the books of Moses or the Pentateuch.

At the same time, questions about the authorship of these books have been debated for centuries, while many maintain that Moses was the primary author. Others believe scribes, priests, or editors may have helped preserve, organize or complete portions of the text.
