You know, one thing I want to bring to your attention is the opening words of the Bible. Genesis doesn't begin by trying to prove that God exists. There's no lengthy explanation. No scientific argument. No philosophical debate.

Now, Genesis is traditionally attributed to Moses, although many biblical scholars believe it developed through multiple written traditions and later editing. So, for the sake of simplicity, I'll use the term "author," and I'll leave it up to you to consider who that might be.

But regardless of authorship, one thing is clear. Genesis gets straight to the point. The Book of Genesis begins with one powerful statement. "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."

Right off the bat, that tells us something extraordinary. Before the universe had a past, a present, or a future. Before there was a yesterday to remember or a tomorrow to imagine. Before the oceans and dry land existed. God was already there. And I believe He's still here with us today.

Now, I realize that raises an interesting question. If God created everything, who created God? And that's a valid question.
