VANTAA, FINLAND — Finnish sports technology company Suunto has introduced the Race 3S, a lightweight performance smartwatch designed for runners and outdoor athletes. Weighing just 56 grams, the watch features a 2,000-nit AMOLED display, up to 38 hours of dual-band GPS battery life, and free worldwide offline maps. Its compact 46-millimeter case includes a titanium bezel, sapphire crystal lens, advanced heart rate monitoring and more than 100 sports modes. The launch also introduces Suunto AI Coach, an artificial intelligence-powered training assistant that analyzes fitness data, creates personalized workouts and provides guidance through the Suunto mobile app.

“People have more performance data at their fingertips than ever, but turning all that information into something useful can be a challenge,” said Daniel Das Bhowmik, Suunto’s vice president of product. The Race 3S also offers improved GPS positioning, real-time climbing guidance and 64 gigabytes of onboard storage. A personalized race-planning feature is expected through a future software update, while offline music support is also planned. Customers who purchase and activate the watch by the end of the year can receive three months of complimentary access to Suunto AI Coach.
